Location: Salford office

Hours:  Part time – 17 hours per week.

Salary: £25,106.00 pro rata

Duration: 3 Years (starting 10 April 2021)

Purpose of the role

Visible Outcomes Social Enterprise in partnership with SARELI are recruiting a part time Project Coordinator. The two organisations support people seeking asylum, refugees and vulnerable migrant to access key Information and to improve their employment prospects and get a job. The post holder will work across the two organisations responsible for smooth running of the activities and overall coordination


Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Organised and able to plan and prioritise work

  • Communicate effectively by phone, email and face to face with service users for whom English maybe their second language

  • To build strong relationships with the two partners, ensure they have all the information they need and develop a plan for what discussions need to be prioritised.

  • To develop a timetable for when different elements of the programme need to start

  • To work with partners to set up the initial monitoring and reporting systems for the partnership’s activity to capture all the data needed for reporting for evaluation.

  • To set up quarterly Partnership Board meetings and report back to those meetings as needed

  • To ensure that the most effective structure is put in place for Service users to steer and influence the work of the project

  • In consultation with partners, to design the overall project plan and identifying how the different strands and work streams of the project fit together.

  • To carry out all tasks in accordance with the aims, values, policies, procedures, guidelines and other agreed working documents.

  • Safeguard at all times confidentiality of information relating to staff and clients.


Person Specification

Desirable Skills, Experience and Knowledge

  • Strong networking, facilitation and partnership-building skills and the ability to work in a deeply collaborative and cooperative way with other organisations

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Ability to assess organisational needs and providing high quality development support of a       successful partnership

  • Understanding of the current and future challenges faced by organisations that provide services for asylum-seekers, refugees and migrants in the UK.

  • Understanding of monitoring and recording systems and how they produce effective data to measure impact

  • Ability to plan and manage own workload and be self-sufficient
